ISLAMABAD, Aug 7 (APP):Chairperson National Vocational and Technical Training Commission (NAVTTC) Gulmina Bilal Ahmad along with the NAVTTC Regional Director’s Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) visited the University of Baltistan, Skardu (UOBS).
The senior faculty and administrative staff of the university warmly welcomed Gulmina Bilal, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.
During the address, the chairperson announced the awarding of four trades under the, “She Fixes”project to UOBS, expressing her hope for quality training for the women of the region in these non-traditional trades.
She assured the university management of NAVTTC’s support in facilitating youth training in Hospitality Management, IT, and Stone Cutting & Polishing.
She urged the university administration to establish a Centre of Excellence in Hospitality Management. Gulmina also requested the Vice Chancellor of UOBS, Dr Muhammad Naeem Khan to collaborate with NAVTTC in organizing the upcoming job fair in Skardu.
She extended thanks for the warm welcome and the informative presentations from the senior Professors and Directors. At the conclusion of the visit, the chairperson planted a tree on the UOBS premises.
